Congratulations on your engagement and thank you for choosing Porter’s Gift Shop for your Bridal Registry.  Please read over the following guidelines for our Bridal Registry.

1.  China and Crystal
We can sell your china & crystal by card or we can order place settings to sell for you.  If you choose for us to order the china to sell, you must agree to keep what is sold from the place settings ordered. You are not responsible for buying the remaining pieces that are not sold. 

2.  Miscellaneous List
Reed & Barton, Annie Glass, Working Glass, Mariposa, Beatriz Ball, Simon Pearce and Grainware are lines that we always keep in stock.  Items in any of these lines can be added to your registry at any time.  Other “gift” items should be added to the registry as close to the wedding (or shower) date as possible as these items turn over quickly.  We encourage you to have a full miscellaneous list at various prices for those who prefer not to give china or crystal.  Please make sure that the items you choose are things you really want because you will get them!  Please plan to keep the items you select.

3.  Sterling Flatware
We offer sterling flatware from most of the sterling silver companies.  We will be glad to sell this for you by card.  After your wedding, you may use your silver credit for pieces of flatware that you need or towards other items on your registry that you may need.

4.  Returns
Any other gifts you receive from Porter’s may be returned for credit with a few exceptions.  Items sold at fifty percent off or more cannot be returned for credit.  Items that a customer special orders for you cannot be returned for credit.  Items or patterns that are discontinued cannot be returned for credit. Please remember also, china ordered for you and bought for you may not be returned. If possible, returns should be made within three months of the wedding.  However, we will accept returns for one year from the date of the wedding.

5.  Credit
“Card” credit issued for china and crystal will be redeemed at the purchase price.  Credit may be used at any time, with the exception of Store Sales, and can be used for special orders.  Items purchased with store credit must be purchased at the full retail price.  Credit for returned items and card credit should be used within one year from wedding date.  Any unused credit will expire two years from the wedding date.

Please be aware that these are guidelines established to simplify the process for you and Porter’s Gift Shop.
